N556 to E5 canopy conversion

Hey guys,

I'd like to give my E5s a facelift.

Would anyone who has an E5 and an N556 be prepared to try a small experiment for me?

Try fitting the N556 canopy on the E5, check whether/how well it fits for shape, size and battery space. Not too bothered if mounting points don't line up, but maybe get an idea of how much difference between them.

A picture while its on there would be good too.

Think about it, an E5 with 516/N556 looks. Has to be worth a try...

I've checked build manuals and the 556 frame uses the same frame spacers and key chain canopy mounts as the E5. So canopy mount width should be fine. Question will be overall fit, battery space and alignment of frame and canopy mounts.
I'm hopeful it'll go close enough to be adaptable.

Yeah agreed, it doesn't look right at all.
Thought it'd go closer to fitting than that.
Guess I'll stick with the std E5 canopy.
