Rail 696 night blade batteries
« on: January 19, 2019, 04:21:29 PM »
I got a set a 696 night blades with batteries and charger.

It will be a while till I use these as the weather is not favorable here in Wyoming this time of year.

What kind of batteries are these. Should I charge them or leave them factory sealed  till I use them.

Well I opened the main blades and they had instructions for the batteries. The batteries did not come with charging instructions. The instructions said to charge them and charge them again every 3 months if not being used.

I hope this means even when installed on heli and that it doesn’t drain them faster when on heli.

I still would like to know what chemistry the batteries are for storage reasons.

I have found this link with the battery details hopefully this helps you out. Looks like a 1 cell lipo 300ma 3.7V https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=759534

FYI
I had a dead one. I was able to get the screws out and found replacement packs on Amazon.
The hardest part is getting the screws loose without stripping the Phillips.
