2 Pinch Bolts in Head
« on: December 23, 2019, 08:57:31 PM »
How tight do the 2 pinch bolts on the top of the head need to be? Manual says do not over tighten, as well as the build video. Not the Jesus bolts, but the 2 bolts right next to it. Thanks!

It's hard to explain this with such small screws where the torque value is measured by feel.

Basically, I ran them down back-and-forth until they stopped without applying force to close the gaps. After that I equally turned them until they felt "tight enough". To the point where I knew the clamps were pinching but not stretching the threads. I want to say maybe 1/4 or 3/8 turn after the initial run down. I don't think they made it to 1/2 turn and definitely not a full turn.

The loc-tite and the "spring" force of the clamp will hold the assembly tight so definitely avoid stretching the screws.
Hope that helps.
