No painted, next I'm going to dye them to see if the color stays on better.

Looks good. I been doing that for years. The white just gets too dirty.

RIT Dye works great, you just have to soak it for a long time to make it as black as possible.

I use the RIT Dye too but what I do is heat it up on the stove not to a boil about ten mints later ready to go.
