Help...any N5C owners with Vbar
« on: May 08, 2012, 05:52:39 AM »
New Synergy customer here. Just bought N5C based on my buddy Kevin Darlymples recommendation.
Have Vbar 5.2. Collective pitch setup is off the charts at 16+ degrees. I have moved the balls in on the servo arms to 10mm. Cannot go any further without binding the servo. Head is on the bottom hole

Slider on the Vbar is down in the 60's and theres still to much pitch.

I cannot get this down into the 13-14 degree range without taking it out of travel adjust in the radio, and I do not want to do that.

I must be missing something.

Any thoughts?

You need to set the correct pitch through the program. In the collective screen move the slider down and this will reduce the pitch.

Thank you but that wasn't much help.

"Slider on the Vbar is down in the 60's and theres still to much pitch"

I already mentioned the slider in the program was down to 60 and it's still way to much pitch.  There must be something I am missing.

Does it have equal pitch top and bottom?
If you bought it used look to see if the inner swash balls are long ones

Hi Tommy
Thanks for responding...after a bit more tweaking on the length of the rods, I can report that I am getting 13.5 on the bottom and top end.  My slider in the Vbar program is at 76.  The Vbar program suggest 80-100 is in the green.
On the servo arm I am 10mm from the screw to the ball, and on the elevator it is binding at the base of the servo.

This is a new kit.  The balls are long that connect to the bell cranks, and short that connect to the pitch link

Any thoughts?

Tommy
These are JR 8717, and I'm using the small wheels. I have also tried the larger wheels and arms as well.

He is at zero degrees at center stick. The problem is he is getting to much pitch with the balls at 10mm from center. His radio Travel is set to 100%.

Rymps (Kevin),

Great Talking to you ! After our talk, and Answers based off the questions Tommy asked, I am 100% sure that Mikey's issues are in the actual programming. Best part he runs the same Tx as I do with the same mechanics as well. Just make sure he sets his rod lengths to exactly what the Manual says, and the JR servo wheels to 10mm, and the rest will be easy..  ;)

Re: Help...any N5C owners with Vbar. UDPATE Problem Solved

I'm happy to say I found my problem.  In the Vbar SW under the swash tab expert settings, the "geometry correction" check box was not checked.  Once I checked it everything fell into place.  I now have all my push rods exactly per the manual, My Vbar collective tab is in the green at 90, and I have 13 degrees of pitch top and bottom. I am still running 10mm on the servo horns for the balls.
