Hi all,

There's a thread in the N9 sub-section similar to this so I thought it might be fun to do the same here. If you have an N5 or N5c check in! If you have more, why not list how many you have and the equipment on them! Just kind of a fun poll and reference point for the equipment that we know works well on these birds.

Do you guys find the YS56 is comparable to the OS55HZR? They do not have a big following here as they never seem to put out the same HP.

I unfortunately have only had experience with the older O.S. 50 hypers before this new 55. Kevin do you have any input? You know all this stuff!  :)

I have run mostly OS engine in both my helis and Airplanes. I recently retired a motor OS 50 Hyper after 30 gal fuel, Now this motor was used by a friend of mine and I got it from him when he went all electric, I ran roughly 15 gal of that 30 through it myself and It ran great, it was time for rear bearings. I recently switched to Ys 56's due to just wanting to try something new. I have been more than pleased with them as well as the OS's.

 I have Never run an OS 55hz but have owned two and sold them before they were ever installed. But I have seen all of the Synergy Gang Run them including Matt and the OS 55 hz's are Awsome. Like any engine it is trying to find that sweet spot in Peak performance, I tend not to String mine out do to I would Rather Buy Synergy Heli's and Not replacement Motors lol. I run mine rich of peak and i do mod Mine as well. (SKUNK WORKZ) I can't tell you what I do, lol. I really Believe in both Products.. You replace Rear bearings in YS as well as OS, To me OS is easier to Tune and when breaking one in Out of the Box I fly it Like I stole It. The YS's require a bit more Tuning and like to be run on the rich side. Personal prefrence i guess.

 Both engines are Great, Let's Face it "IF MATT FLIES OS and we have seen how Matt Flies, And Matt Does Have alot more Skill Then You have Seen on these Videos, He can Make one SCREAM FOR MERCY When The Crowds are gone and The gloves come off, He Can Flat Lay The SMACK Down, He is truly a Gifted Pilot!! Then you know the OS 55HZ's  gotta be good !! I on the other hand  just wanted to try something a bit Different. 
Once again this is just my opinion. You can't go wrong with either, Os and Synergy Marry very Well!!

Hi Kevin,

Most Australians will run O.S in the 55 sizes and the majority will run O.S for the 90 sizes but there is still a good mix of YS, particulary now the 120 is out.

I'm going to try a YS56 just because i want to, i'm still expecting the O.S to be better.

Hey Justin,

 you will Like it, Once you get it dialed in she is a beast, like I mention earlier, Matt and the Gang fly OS55hz's and they are insane, I have never flown one. The YS with a Outrage pipe runs great as well as a Hatori. I don't fly Smack so to speak. I leave that to Matt. I like big air maneuvers as well as fast inverted and very low inverted and haven't been let down yet by my YEs. My N9's have OS 91 hz and they are insane!!! I run 14 degrees of pitch and I swear they will take anything "I" can give them. Good luck with the Change and Keep me posted.
