Castle released the "External Gov Mode" to open beta

For those of you wanting to run your Castle ESC on the VBar gov, they have released the version Mr Mel signed off on as a public beta.

4.01 offered a solution but the soft start was harsh. This is supposed to fix it completely. I am going to try it on my E7 tonight

How much better is the Vbar gov better than the CC gov?

What i like about the vbar gov is the predictive response. Since it is also the fbl controller it doesn't have to wait for the Head to load to know more power is needed. This way it can send more power request to the speed controller while simultaneously completing the requested stunt.

I don't know much about CGY, but someone told me they don't have an electric gov?? I personally find that hard to believe, but hey I don't own one.

Awesome,  I have a full size Vbar that I will be using on my E5.  I'm going to give the Vbar gov some serious consideration.

Setup my Vbar gov with the E7 and my Castle 120 today.  Setup was pretty straight forward, as I remembered it to be.  My VBar throttle resolution is dead nuts in the middle of the green zone. 

If the weather holds I will be giving this a try tomorrow I already ordered 3 more Hobbywing sensors for my 750, Goblin, and E5 when it gets here

E7 with Castle and Vbar, done.

Soft start is fantastic. Someone else said it on HF, but I will agree, you could spool this up on ice!

Once the head is up to speed, the change rate is crisp. Admittedly I don't load the head as much as you hard core 3Ders, but even I could over speed and bog my castle gov. This thing is rock solid!

So is the soft start better with newest beta version?  I am happy enough with the Castle Governor and running Helicommand on my birds now so no governor for me except the Castle.  Just wondering if I should upgrade the firmware anyway.

Well, there were no updates to the internal Gov, just the new external gov mode. in 4.01 the soft start was more of a non existent feature. The new 4.02 firmware gives the external gov mode the same soft start the internal gov mode enjoys.

Give us a new firmware updats for internal governor!

Last weekend my new high head speed is 3100 rpm when i do sport flying after a big loop when i return at mid stick.

On idle up 2, i suppose to have 2150 on my E7.

I have the log for confirm that!!
