E6/E7 TT How far to push in alignment during build
« on: July 19, 2012, 02:30:57 AM »
Working on the final stages of my new E7 TT Kit and working on the TT install.  The TT supplement install guide says
"1. Align boom flush with front boom clamp"
When doing my N5C build it was pretty easy to see when the boom wasn't flush and you could adjust.  With the transmission, I'm having a hard time seeing the boom.  Should I just push it all the way in or push it all the way in and back out 2-3mm?  Or other?
Probably minor... but would like to get it right!
Thanks for any tips!

Push it all the way in, then you should be able to see it, then pull it back out until it is flush with the front boom clamp.

Yes, all the way in flush, but backed out 2mm by looking into the frame  before bolting in the TT front trans.
