Yeah, could be worse but hate to throw more money out.  The weeks after the holidays are tight for me, we only get paid once a month and they pay us in December before the break(18th this year) long time between pay checks but I'm used to it.  But this little fiasco wasn't in my budget plans.  Hopefully things are working tomorrow evening and I can get in a quick flight before the possible bad weather comes.

Greg, just take it a lesson learned.  I'm sure it's a mistake you will never repeat.

Never ever ever ever again!
The hobby shop showed me how to change the servo gears so that was a great lesson. If you guys could see how bad those plastic pieces were. I've NEVER seen a gear stripped that bad before.  All 3 servos the same thing.  No wonder it didn't work.  He plugged it into a (?) and tested each one to make sure they work and they are moving well now.  Guess I at least have some metal spares.  Hopefully in the future i can just buy the plastic parts if I need them.  Hope to install tonight, but by the time the rain stops tomorrow there is a wind advisor.  Gusts between 36-45 mph so if I get in a test flight tomorrow I will be very lucky. On the way back from getting the servos I could not stop quick enough on the wet roads and got pulled over for running a red light.  2013 off to a great start.

I believe you can now just purchase the plastic gears.

Good.  Just did my test flights.  FIrst time at the field the motor wouldn't spin.  So had to go back home, going quickly to beat the light drizzle that we've had all day and the wind that will get stronger.  Put the original file from Castle back on and then lowered the gain to 8.  Not sure what I touched in the motor tab to make it not spin.  Did a small throttle input and it was good.  Then back to the field and everything went well.  The wag is gone!  It was tough to tell because the winds were 13 mph and gusts of 20+ (and 39 degrees but feels like 32 as weather channel said!) but it was very solid.  Did a flip or two and some invert and piros just to make sure all was checking out.  Only could do two batteries and then I could not feel my fingers.  Actually, te 2nd pack I could feel my fingers because it took forever to get the canopy on...usually I get it on right away but it took longer to line things up this time.  Anyone up north, don't leave your fingers on the canopy mounts or metal too long, don't want your hands to get stuck like on "A Christmas Story"!  So glad it is flying again.  Now have to wait until tomorrow for the crap weather to pass.  Sim time after work  ;)

Yep!  Have everything ready to try and have another go, but when I went downstairs saw some light sleet.  I don't want to take any chances...weather channel on my phone says it feels like 28 and now the wind is 16-23 mph.  Maybe I will sit this one out and live to fly another day.
