Yeah I missed that 9080s are not for a 700, I was thinking about the 9180s

yup, the 9080's even at 8.5v were way too low my mine. I replaced them with the savox servos, and boom! new heli!

I was told by a few guys that they had plenty of torque for the 700, so I tried them. and yes, they did, for just flying around. but as I got a little better and started flying harder, I noticed very quickly that they were not enough...I would be willing to bet with new servos, and the adjustments the vbar guys have thrown out here, you will be up and going perfectly!

now I just need someone to help me with my dang vbar! lol

Hi,

Rob - thanks for the advice! Seems my servos could be the issue... my jive 120hv will only let me run 6V though so i either need some super duper servos at 6V or i need to buy a kontronik kosmik...?

Not sure where to start really, whether to try out your suggestion on the vbar setup or whether to just throw some money at servos?

What servos are you guys using?

Well i kinda resolved this another way!

Guy in my club flies spartan, so he gave me a spartan Vx1 and told me to try that. Set it to Bert K mode and turned up the feed forward and it is a totally different helicopter!

Seems my vbar settings had an issue somewhere, so much happier on the spartan at the moment so will be getting it fine tuned on that i think  ;D Wicked heli!

Hi Tom,

Pleased to see you got this sorted, it would be interesting to hear if you find out what was causing the issue with the Vbar.

I have just picked up a Spartan VX1e to give a whirl in my E7se. :D

Cheers,
Ross

Yeah me too Ross it was getting tedious after 3 months lol! Not sure what setting in the Vbar it would have been but it had the exact same problem, on spartan it's feed forward but on Vbar i would presume it would be the cyclic 8 degrees setting...

Let me know how you get on with the Vx1e, i've got a full size Vx1 and VX1n at the moment on both of my E7's so would be interesting if you feel much difference :)
