Around 6 ounces. But most of it is near the front.  I had zero cog issues but again my motor and esc are heavier

Hello Mahfu,

The x-Nova 4035 series is a 3kw motor for a 600-700 class helicopter. The Jive Pro Esc is also on the light side for a 800 class helicopter.

X-Nova 4035 weight = 473 grams
Jive Pro 120 weight = 140 grams

Typical 700-800 class Motor = 503-660 grams
Typical 700-800 class ESC = 250-300 grams

12s 5000 = 1592 grams
14s 4400 = 1612 grams

The 766 configured as an 800 class you have a bit more boom countering the weight of your equipment. 800 class boom length is going to require normal 700 class motor and esc at a minimum and will CG even better with typical 800 class motor and ESC. A 14s battery is usually used with 800 class but many use 12s.

Right now you are essentially missing between 6-12 ounces from the nose of the helicopter.

Since you are pretty far outside the recommended equipment, I don't think you are going to achieve CG unless weight is added to the nose.

I was able to complete the setup on the Spartan Vortex this Saturday. Today, I just went out to fly and spent the last 6 hours flying the 766. About 25-30 flights in total. So my very quick critique is its one fantastic flying Heli! I love it at 1950rpm and 1840 for precision. The spartan does a nice job of getting most of the parameters set perfectly. I chose 770+ and 3D. I had to dial down the expo a lot to get the feel I like and tweak some agility but for the most part, it just works at default.

Here's a couple of things I made some tweaks to.

1) I oversized the holes in the canopy and installed a slightly larger grommet. The pins aren't contained any longer with the canopy but just popping them out and reinserting makes it much easier to pull and install the canopy. The only real concern is I will eventually drop and lose one.

2) It's a Spectacular flying Heli!

3) I will add a scorpion bug to the front and will probably eventually move my WR super BEC g2 under the ESC when the boom wrap is available but for now, it's perfectly fine. CoG is spot on with my earlier pictures.

4) It's a Outstanding flying Heli!  The long overall canopy/body section really adds orientation presence from far away and its much easier to fine adjust the controls while flying. And it responds exactly to what I'm telling it without any weird phasing issues etc.

5) I decided I don't like strapping batteries to treys and will pick up an additional trey and latch.

6) It's Sensational at Auto's. I've never flown any other with this amount of hang time. Including other 750's and 800's.

7) I did add a couple of small holes in the frames to aid in wiring for tie wraps.

8) It's an astounding flying Heli! The blade bark is perfect!

9) I've never owned a Heli where I can grease the grips externally. I need to figure out how that is done. I'll start a new thread.

10) The 766 with the 4525 scorpion motor is a beast! I'm running +/- 13.8 degrees pitch and all I can say is WOW. In the words of Spiderman, "With great power comes great responsibility". Be safe out there everyone.

11) And last but not least, the 766 puts to shame some of my other "high end" Heli's. They will probably be for sale soon... Those others track like they are on rails. The 766 tracks like the rails are on rails. It's very precise.

I built it with Xnova 4035 and a Jive Pro 120. 

Be careful with the Jive Pro. It was really intended for 500-600 class helicopters and has a hard time with 700s, I wouldn't recommend it for an 800 class heli. The over-current shut down threshold is considerably lower on the Jive Pro units compared to the older Helijives. There are numerous reports of shutdowns when installed in 700s. Maybe you could skate by using the 4035, but if you install the 4535 I would definitely upgrade the ESC. It's obvious you want to save all the weight you can... but can I promise you that you will be amazed at how light this helicopter feels on the sticks, even using heavier equipment.
