Is there an advantage to the 6s batteries?

Usually "stick" packs have two sets of battery wires and two balance plugs. But I have seen some 8 and 10 cell packs that only have one. The models with two sets are easier to charge on a standard lipo balance charger and are really just two. 5s packs shrink wrapped together.

Yes it will be lighter. But the 12s is going to have more power.

Maybe someone with a E6 setup currently can way in on the battery.

Wow I wish I knew the formula for which batteries to choose. It seems at the moment if I go with the 10s 3850 that this would not work should I want to convert to the E7 and use the same batteries. Same for the TP 6s 3850 (2) that most people don't use these for the E7's but use 2 6s 4200 bats.

Is there something in-between that works for both? I'd hate to spend $800+ on batteries that will only work on the E6. So many decisions.... I see Matt fly the E6 a lot on YouTube and thought that is my machine :)

I'm pretty sure the majority of the videos are of the E7.  Recently, there was a video of him flying an E5 stretched to a 600 with the E6 tail boom and TT.

Well, there you have it, LOL.  I suck at finding stuff, obviously.  I hadn't seen any video of an E6 flying.  I guess maybe because when I started looking at Synergy stuff I was looking for 700 stuff, specifically.

Just curious... are you thinking of building as an E6 and then possibly changing it over to an E7, later?  If not, and a 600 is really what you want, have you thought about going with an E5 and stretching it to a 600?  It would be lighter than the E6 and it definitely rips!

You just read my mind my friend  :) I think I might go that route as the batteries seem to be more in the price range I need... plus If I do decide to go E7 looks like the 4200 mah batteries will work in there as well. Problem is I have money burning a hole in my pocket and I want a new build now. Looks like there has been a delay in the E5 rolling out. In addition, with the E5 being a new model I wonder if there will be issues with it being a new roll out design. Thank you for your time

Based on Matt's post, I'm guessing you might be able to get your hands on one this week or at least by next week.  ;D
