Electronic Assembly Help

Agreed. I mounted mine in the front just beside the front canopy mount and it fits with a decent amount of room to spare. Granted I'm using the Castle so I'm not sure what the Western Robotics wires are like but mine had enough to reach my receiver and still have slack in the wire.

With the Western Robotics Super Hercules, the "servo like" wires will not reach the receiver if mounted in the front. If in the back the "power wires" will need to be lengthened.

You don't necessarily want your BEC close to your radio equipment.  Use servo extensions to extend your BEC signal wires back to your receiver / FBL.

No soldering, male to female servo extensions.  No need to remove the unused wire from the extension, though you can if you like.

I added new pictures with diagrams on the previous page (5) to help with the explanation.  I also added them to the wiring diagram / picture thread.

What's the trick with this wire loom? I bought 1/8" loom and can't get the servo wire through it...

LOL, You have to work the the servo connector into the loom and then push the loom from behind the connector causing it to expand.  :D

I know it seems simple enough, but I cut a short 5" section to practice... by the time I was through the loom looked like it blew up. It rips as I feed it through argh

Use a hot knife or something similar to cut it and it wont fray as badly.  It takes a little practice, the trick it to expand the end while getting it to slide over the connector.  Once you have it over the connector hold the end that is already on (or over) the connector and push the loom that has yet to feed over the connector with your other hand causing it to expand.  It looks like a snake swallowing large prey if that makes since.  Hope this helps.

Lol you explanation was perfect. Ahh the things I've learned on moving up to this Heli. Good news is I'll be able to do the E7 when I graduate :)

I'm glad you understood.  I confused myself a couple of time trying to figure out to explain the process.  It's pretty easy to demonstrate but putting it to text is another matter.   ;D
