TT gear box not "smooth" will this wear in?
« on: January 20, 2013, 07:32:49 PM »
Afternoon all,

building my first 700 and my first Synergy yay :)

my TT gear box, the one on the main shaft side, it is not very smooth, its not "stiff" per say but it certainly isn't free rolling, will this wear in after the first flight, it doesn't require much force to move it, I can swipe my finger across the gear and it will move but stops rather quickly.

I wouldn't say its binding with each other just not "smooth" if you now what I mean.

Yes that is normal and will improve after a few flights.

+1 on what Alan said, the gears will bed in after a flight or two and will be silky smooth.

Cheers,
Ross
