Swash direction
« on: January 25, 2013, 09:59:58 AM »
Should the swash go up or down for pitch direction? Right now it has to move down for positive pitch, but I could've sworn it did not work that way before.  Right now that is what works but don't want to have some anomaly.

Backwards - flip your blade grips around.

Your pitch link arms should be on the same side as the leading edge of your blades.  Yours are by the trailing edge so you'll need to take off the blades and flip the grips over then reattach the blades.

I knew something was off!!!! thank you so much from keeping me out of the ground again.  I 'll make that change at home, then go back into vbar and flip it back to where it was and check my pitch settings again.  Thanks!

Several Team Synergy Pilots have helped me out (Darren L., Jon W., ect) so I'll help the community with pleasure when I can.  I'm still making changes to my E5 even though it already flies great.  I wish you good luck with your E5 - you are definitely due some.

Yeah, Rich and Chris have been super helpful.  And everyone on here!  After making the changes, did 4 flights today and everything is moving fine.  It was very windy today so I didn't try checking my gain settings.  At some point I'll have the Pro software but I want to work through it with someone that has experience before I take the plunge.  Glad I finally used the swash leveler, there were somethings off.  fixed now.  Maybe I can get in some flights tomorrow!

Tying to get used to it so I can be ready to rock in march at the fun fly.  Also trying to get things set with my hobby shop to sponsor me for AMA next week.  First have to get things taken care of banking wise.  My university had a cyber attack and I actually found some odd charges a couple of hours ago so the bank had to close my debit card.
Told you, I'm having some very odd luck lately.  But I say this to others so must preach it to myself, this too shall pass.

I really am amazed at the amount of unfortunate luck you have had BUT I will say this you seem like a nice and level headed person and I fully believe that will come back around and pay off for you in good ways! It's the patience in waiting for that which always sucks.

I flew one battery pack last weekend when it was 12 degrees F outside.  After six minutes my fingers hurt so bad I could hardly stand it.  When I picked the helicopter up by the rotor hub I thought my skin was going to stick to it like that kid's tongue on A Christmas Story!  It's all the way up to a balmy 30 degrees right now, though, so maybe this weekend I'll fly a few more packs, LOL.

Hah there seems to be a lot of people that don't mind the cold but I can just never get past it. Now you give me 70 degrees and no wind and I'll sit outside all day long.
