As Matt said, the bevel gears look correct. If you have a lot of movement in the tail system, check what is shown in the video below. (note, you have to look beyond the bevel gears in the video to see the large and small straight cut gears. The small gear (part of the forward transmission) is being held in place while the main gear and tail take off gear are moved back and forth).
We had very little engagement on the teeth (maybe 20%). We filed the frames a little and moved the entire front transmission assembly forward to adjust the mesh to the straight cut gears. All is good now.
