I do not know if my way is excessive, but I match each plastic link to its corresponding ball with the Boto-Sizer.

If you get the rest of your heli built and the links are the only thing holding you up from your maiden flight, just let me know because I have some.  I'd be happy to meet up with you to get you going.  I'd hate to have you not be able to fly on the long weekend just because you're missing one little thing...
