14MZ remote gain adjustment with CGY750
« on: May 24, 2013, 10:58:06 PM »
Hi all,

I got hold of a near new 14MZ to replace my 10CHG.

I have all of my setup done except getting the remote gain on the CGY for aileron and elevator working. I can do remote adjustments for the tail and governor fine.

I have checked the channel assignments in the function menu and on the CGY SBUS menu.

When I change the values in the 14MZ the CGY stays at 0. It will change on the CGY between AVCS and Normal when I change values or settings in the 14MZ. For example any value other than 0 or changing the 14MZ between AVCS and Normal mode.

If anyone has anything that could help it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Never owned a 14mz but have you checked the servo monitor to see if the numbers on the gyro screen match what the monitor is telling you? Also check the function menu to be sure channel 9 is assigned to gyr2 and channel 10 to gyr3. Both should have nothing assigned to CTRL and TRIM on that screen.

Hi Alan,

I am using channels 9 and 10 for Aileron and Elevator gain. The servo monitor shows the gain. I have double checked the SBUS and have the channels matched up. Ch 9 is SBus Ch 9 and Ch 10 is SBus Ch A.

Control and trim has been set to null.

Not sure what is going on.

Thanks for your help.

When you say you double checked the SBus I assume you mean in the Cgy SBus menu. AGn should be channel 9 and EGn should be channel 10.
What receiver are you using? Be sure you are running in FAAST MLT2 mode NOT MULT on both the transmitter and receiver.

Hi Alan,

Yes I mean the SBUS menu in the CGY750.

I am using a R6208SB RX. I cannot remember what FAST mode I have it setup with. I will have to check when I get home.

Thanks again for your reply.

Cheers

I just figured it out :). Really simple in the end. AGn and EGn had to be 100%.  I had it at 0% so the values would never change for the remote gain value.

Okay. That would do it alright. My next suggestion was going to be to reset the gyro back to factory.
Glad you have it figured out. 👍
