N5c tail servo direction ?
« on: June 26, 2013, 03:24:48 PM »
Hi I have just fitted an n5c torque tube conversion
I read in the manual that the tail rotation is clockwise ?
Now that i have done this conversion and the tail rotor
is going clockwise .
Does the tail servo direction have to change ?
and the gyro sensing ?
I have changed the beast x so that the sensing is as per normal
and reversed the servo so that it is back to it was before

IS that right ??

AS long as you flipped the grips back to leading edge control, you should be good!

give it left rudder, if the trailing edge of the blades points left(when standing behind nose away) then you are good.  Comp should move trailing edge toward the direction you move the tail.

As long as rudder input and comps are right, go fly.

So does that mean the main rotor is turning counterclockwise?  I thought the tail always went in the opposite direction of the main head.

No the main rotor is still clockwise. The tail direction doesn't effect anything. Synergy is not the first to have a clockwise tail.

Gotcha. Thought I read something about the wash from the main rotors. But I guess the tail is just to keep the Heli body from spinning.

Still cant get my head round it
If I stand at the rear of the heli and turn the stick left the rear of the blade
points to my right ? ( you say left )
I have set it up as per a normal anticlockwise tail !
is that correct ?
When you rotate the heli the nose goes left tail goes right (opposite) as per normal !
Is this correct ?

Correct, with a left stick input, the tail pitch slider will move to the right and vice versa.  Same thing with your gyro control.  If you have the Heli at a side profile view, move the tail towards you and the pitch slider should move away.  Move the tail away from you and the pitch slider will move towards you.

So please let me understand:
Do tail blades run in the oppsite as from any T Rex. i guess this is right?
Nos my question, i do belive that the Main Rotor should be running also the opposite way to produce the righ torque as for the Helitoo fly.
Any suggestions?

both rotors, main and tail turn clockwise. you install your tail blades with the leading edge going clockwise, and double check your gyro correction direction and stick deflection directions. it flys better than any other heli on the market IMO

Let us know how it goes! When standing in front of the Heli, nose towards you, when you give right rudder, the pitch slider should move right, or towards the tail box, left rudder, it should move left or towards the tail hub. Gyro comp you need to check with whatever process you usually use.

Yup!! This is how I check my setup.  In my mind, when I move the right rudder stick the right...the tail slider moves right, and vice versa.  I just find it easier this way.  Just my 2 cents..

My Friends. Maiden was GREAT!!!!!! this model really really does its stuff!!!!!
I am impressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just one question. I was wondering if any of you use a Canopy Cover for your Synergy N5c? When traveling to the field I go real tight in my car with all the stuff. So wanted to put a cover to the canopy.
Do you know if Synergy does any Canopy Covers? (I used an old one, that I had but it does not fit)
Any ideas please.
Thanks. AND ALSO THANKS MATT YOUR MACHINE ROCKS!!!
