Summer goals
« on: June 26, 2013, 10:01:51 PM »
I'm trying to get some new threads started because everyone is out flying and not on the computer.  Because it is so hot, I'm spending more time inside then I did between Feb-Early June.  So thought it would be cool for the synergy members to list their flying goals for this summer.
For me, I want to be more consistent with all hurricanes and funnels, and start doing piro flips on the real thing instead of the sim.  Also get better at 4 point tic tocs and perfect the snake.  Maybe by the end of the summer execute these maneuvers lower then the 50-100 feet I'm doing them at now lol.

My Summer goal is to suck it up and and get a set of glasses so I can see what I'm doing.  Getting old sucks!  :D

Hopefully you mean sunglasses and not REAL glasses.  Who knows, when you get the "specs" you might start flying like a beast!

I mean real glasses.  I had LASIK 11 years ago, but my eyesight is deteriorating.  My ophthalmologist claims I do not need glasses yet.  A second ophthalmologist said the same thing.  Regardless, I know I don't see the same as say 5 years ago.

See, that is why I don't want to do LASIK because it isn't really permanent. If someone is going to cut into my eye I want it to be something that never has to happen again!

I'm still too chicken to do autos yet.  I guess it is because when I tried at a couple of inches off the ground the Heli seemed to slam down pretty hard.  I still don't think I have TH set up correctly.

The E7 is great to learn autos on.  The E5 autos pretty well, too, it's just quite a bit quicker coming down than the E7.

Maybe learning autos on the E5 is not the best one for first attempts.  I wanted to do autos on something smaller to learn them actually; one reason I bought the mini protos. Though I've heard it doesn't auto that well either. But I won't be as scared to damage something on that as I would the e5.

I wouldn't even try to auto the mini go right to the E5. The mini looses head speed way to quickly.

I'm at the point where I'm about to lose the mini all together.

Well my summer goal is simple. Fly and fly often. LOL missed a lot last year due to medical issues with my son.

Progression is always great! But I need the stress release this summer.

That is another goal for me.  More flying time.  Glad your son is doing good this summer though.
