GoPro Hero3 on E7se
« on: July 25, 2013, 08:37:36 AM »
Will the GoPro Hero3 WiFi ability give problems with the heli if I us the remote to change mode while in flighjt with camera attached to heli?? I have flown with camera on my 600 but have not yet tried the WiFi during flight.  Has anyone tried this and if so does the 2.4ghz on wifi result in bad stuff happening to the heli while in flight?  Thanks.

Won't be an issue. We do it with the multi rotors.

I just did some video with my Hero 3 White edition on my E7 at the Heli Extravaganza with no helicopter control problems however I certainly did not get even close to 600' of reception for preview or control as claimed by GoPro using their app on my Droid Razor (I guess sitting on the side of an electric heli doesn't qualify as "ideal conditions.") It was also my first attempt at flying my E7 with a 6S battery pack with head speed of about 1050rpm which caused some frame vibration so the video was pretty poor. I also pointed the camera backwards which made for a cool perspective. I am looking forward to trying it again at normal head speed, let us know how it works for you!
