Front Transmission Module E7SE
« on: August 16, 2013, 02:01:15 PM »
Hi all

Can someone tell me if the 100-372 Set Screw is loctited already from factory or do I have to take this apart and loctite it? (Well, somehow I don't like pre-assmbled parts)

thx
Thomas

You need to disassemble and check bearings for grease and loctite on every part. The parts are only pre-assembled for parts count verification.  With very few exceptions, nothing is pre greased or loctited.

+1 on Chris's recommendation, everything requires disassembly and reassembled with loctite and grease/oil where indicated.

As you mentioned everything needs to be disassembled. The upper Bronze Bushing 610-149 fits very well, at the moment I can not remove this part. The lower one was no problem to remove.

Can anyone help if the upper one is secured by factory?

thx
Thomas

EDIT: Sorry for this post, finally I could remove it.
