e5 or e5 stretch
« on: August 24, 2013, 12:06:53 PM »
Hi. Today I decided to pough the field with my heli smashing it tail first into the mud   :'(

Its seem to have broken everything from the boom back over so made me think....should I replace the parts or should I stretch it as now be a good time to do so. Problem is im running 6s 5000packs would it be worth stretching
still or should I just replace back to standard?

One of the guys I fly with did a 6S stretch. Flew well. I think he used 4400's. flight times were around 3-1/2 minutes. He use the align motor.
You end up dropping the head speed when stretched which will offset the increased power needed on the larger disk area.
What motor are you running?
Cheers

It all depends on the headspeed/performance you want.  Run 1900-2000 headspeed as a 600 and I'd bet you get close to 5 mins.

Personally, I prefer the larger disc.  Doesn't hurt to try it and see how you like it.

And if you've seen Darren fly, there is nothing he can't do with that headspeed  8)
