Is there a possibility you inserted the shaft up side down?

nope . the hole down the bottom of the shaft is 35mm to center  hole and the one on the top of the shaft  is 16mm , i think maybe it should of been 10mm instead of 16mm to clear the pivot dowl ? or could this be an E7 shaft by mistake?

I never owned the original E7/6.  I is my understanding that the new E7SE head block sits lower than the older E7/6, so my  guess is that the E7SE shaft is therefore shorter than the E7/6 shaft.

E7SE shaft part number 305-140

E7/6 shaft part number 310-140

Hope you get it sorted out soon.

It's not the original main shaft. They have three holes at the top. If no one beats me to it I'll pull my head and measure for you later.

Disregard I shouldn't post before coffee. :-[

Looks like you have the original E6-E7 main shaft.  Measure it, lenght wise. If it's 222mm, it's the old one, and Synergy will get you the correct shaft.

The SE main shaft is the same as the E5. You have an original E6/E7 main shaft.

I just measured the E7SE shaft.  It is roughly 199.5mm long with 8mm from top edge to center of upper Jesus bolt hole.

Okay. Good idea! I haven't heard if that happening. If he finds more then he needs to contact Matt.
