n5c swash driver geometry
« on: September 11, 2013, 07:38:53 AM »
Seems like im never 100% confident in my set up of the swash driver on the fbl head. I have the arms 90 deg. to the links but looks as though the links are parallel to the driver plate. Im sure this has been addressed before. I can provide a pic if that helps,
Thanks,
John

Is it the stock head with the washout hub? Or did I understand that correctly that the washout arms are attached to the Head block?

A pic would help actually if you can provide.

Nope stock head.although the previous owner put longer balls on the inner swash. So I think that is throwing me off.

You want the pitch arm linkages going to the longer set of balls and the swash drivers going to the short set.

Well it appears that I had it wrong as per rodney's post. I'm sure that will solve the issue for me.
Fwiw how doe the swash drive height affect performance other than limiting swash movement if set too low

It doesn't affect performance whatsoever.
