N5C TT conversion autohub shims
« on: October 09, 2013, 04:22:24 AM »
Did you guys who have converted from belt to tt use those shims between main gear and tt gear ? I feel like there is now more friction with autorotation gear when i left that shim between gears than with belt drive. I am just wondering should it be there or left away.

Hi,

When assembling the main transmission assembly, both the delrin shims need to be installed. One shim either side of the autohub assembly.

If you have excessive friction or the shims have a burr on the surface then the shims surface can be smoothed out with some very fine wet 'n' dry sand paper if required.

The assembly configuration can be found on P6 of the conversion manual.

Hi,
thank you for information. That helps a lot since i do not have manual at use.

Though, I have to point out that link to manual is invalid. That pdf is not found.

Hi,

The links should work, but if you follow the following link it will take you to the main manuals download page and the Torque Tube Conversion Manual will be at the bottom of the page.
