Transmitter Gloves or Mitts
« on: October 31, 2013, 05:07:44 AM »
OK guys I'll be honest, my hands were freezing yesterday and it was only 50 degrees Fahrenheit with a 25 mph wind.  Every year I wait it out to get or make one of these winter contraptions. But this is the year I pick one up any suggestions?  I wan't my hands to feel like they were at home in bed, even sweaty if possible.  The only reason I stop flying in the winter is because its torture after a while.

Thanks,
Jon M

This is the only Turnigy thing that I like.  It suites my hands and my 14SG fits perfectly in it.

Good reminder, I just ordered mine. Last year when I checked (December) they were out of stock.

I have the Turnigy one.  Hobbyking sells them:

I also have this, to go along with it...

It runs on a 2S or 3S lipo.

YOUR ORDER MAY TAKE UP TO 45 DAYS TO ARRIVE.
Just in time for Christmas. 😜
This is my first and maybe last HK order. Crazy!

Probably won't take that long. One thing you really have to watch for with them is what country it's shipping from. Sometimes they have stock in multiple countries and you'll want to pick the closest to you.

This my fourth order from hk global warehouse. Previous ones all took 3 weeks to Italy.

I find it good for ancilllary stuff like parallel charge cables, connectors, shrink tube and so on. Definitely I wouldn't buy a hely.

Largest issue I have with the mitts is the plastic screen hitting your hands or fingers while you are trying to fly.  I've only seen one mitt made by a hobbyist a long time ago that actually had a neckstrap that attached to the plastic screen and then a smaller one hooked from the screen to your radio thus keeping it off your hands.  Like a dope, I sold mine a few years back when I got out of the hobby.......sure wish I had it back now :(

I don't think it was a Radiowarm unless that was made by a hobbyist in his spare time.  Here are some pictures of my old mitt and you'll get a better idea of what I meant by the connection system.
