Wire Routing Suggestions
« on: December 09, 2013, 12:48:07 PM »
Hey Guys. I am wanting to route all of my wires to be as concealed as possible. Can any of you show me pictures of how your E5's are laid out to give me some ideas? I appreciate all of your help.

I have built a few of these, used slightly different concepts with them all.

My E5s 606 mains:

Another E5 on 556 mains:

Another E5 I built:

I know this is an E7se, but I am very happy with this layout. You could easily do this with the E5 if you put the wires in the right places during the build.

Thanks Chris. I ordered 3 meters of wire loom. I have to get everything in order. Where did you put the BEC on your E5? I didn't see it. Also, could you recommend an affordable HV Cyclic servo? I have Align 615's in there now and a Savox HV on the tail. I am not going to change them right away as I've spent a fair amount of money already.

Thanks,

Anthony

This helicopter actually runs a straight RX lipo strapped to the top of the flight pack in the front.

You can run a BEC, just mount it behind the ESC tray, i know many doing this and I did that with my E7se.

For budget HV Servos, I have been leaning on the RJX FS0521HV but you want to run a straight RX pack with those. They are not BEC friendly. They have a very fast ramp up time on first power up.

If you want a similarly priced HV servo that won't kill your BEC, the Savox SC-1267SG are good. I ran them for a long time in my big birds.

I just finished mine.  I'm no expert but this is how I wired mine.

Looks good.

The only issue I am seeing is that your main blade grips are not leading edge control. You need to flip the main blade grips around to get leading edge control.

Cheers,
Mark

Good eye Mark,

Thank you for catching that.

First thing I said to myself was "no way".

It amazes me how you can look at something and see not see it.  Of course I went back to the manual, opus there it is, and look at the box, and I know I've seen almost every picture posted here.

WOW, thanks again.

But the wiring looks nice, lol.

Thank you
Greg

No problem Greg. An extra set of eyes is always good.

Enjoy!

Hey Guys. Here is what I have so far. Still uncertain of what I want to do with the slack near the VBar Module.
