Tail wag in Vbar
« on: January 08, 2014, 05:05:59 PM »
Can't fix this one.

i went from 40% gain to 96% gain in the TX

which is 65-133 gain in the vbar

goes from slow tail wag at 65 to almost gone but still there tail wag at 133 gain ( WHICH IS CRAZY GAIN ) but on figure 8's you can here it pitching and fighting itself so 133 is obviously way too high.

Came home and the ball links and slider seems to be fine! very smooth

WHat can i do to fix this?

Gov gain too high maybe. Running vbar gov or ESC gov?  What are you tail endpoints in vbar software?

What is castle gov gain?  Whenever I had a slow wag, was usually binding.

gov gain was 25, wasn't sure what to change this to.

I purchased this heli used and gain was 12 so i pushed it to 25 (medium) maybe try 12?

Heli wasn't set up great by previous owner so i changed most of it.

I would def go lower. Try lower. If that's doesn't help, disable gov and eliminate it and tune tail that way. Then bring gov back in

just curious, how would gov gain effect this?

also for that servo i have the 2nd option down in tail servos for frequency, going to double check this is right.

To high of gain can cause a "pulsing" effect.

Try @ 18% gov gain that seems to be where the castle gov likes to be. Which Motor & ESC is it? Make sure you have the latest software version loaded in your ESC also.

I would suggest the 13T for that set up and target 2300 - 2400 rpm I think you'll like the performance

Edit sorry I meant to say 15T not 13T for that RPM

I'm about to throw a 14T on it ( what i have, i don't have 13T currently )

2350 HS, and see if this fixes it.

I tried fixed end points at 95% flat curve today with 12T and no luck, same stupid wag  :(

Its not going to govern in fixed-end point mode.

Try 14T @ 2150-2250 and 18% gain
