Servo Question

New to Synergy.  I am looking at purchasing a built up Belt Drive N5C airframe.
What HV servo is recommended for the N5C for all three positions? (cyclic, tail, throttle)

I have tried a couple setups. My go to setup has become Futaba BLS servos on straight 2s lipo. I have my N7, E7se, and E7se Speed Machine setup this way.

On my N5c, I have a 6v setup running Futaba BLS252 Cyclics, BLS251 Rudder, and BLS135 on the Throttle. I run a Scott Grey Reactor X2 Regulator feeding 5.6v to the tail, and 6v to the Cyclic and Throttle.

I know there are guys with all HV setups on their N5c, but I can't think of the Futaba HV mini servo number right off. I am sure others will chime in.

Chris has it covered and you may want to consider the BLS256 for the tail if you want to run HV. I also ended up with a regulator when I had my N5c due to the throttle servo though. There are options for mini HV servos but I'm not familiar with them off the top of my head.

I have the Bls171hv futaba on cyclic, mks 669hv on the tail, savox mini rudder servo on the throttle with a futaba inline regulator.  There is a smoking deal on those cyclic's at the link.

I am a Spektrum radio user.  Is the BLS171HV servo which is specified to be an "S-Bus" servo compatible with radios other than Futaba?  I did a search and did not find the info that would tell me one way or the other.

Absolutely.  Compatible with all FBL systems, lightweight, more than powerful enough, and reasonably fast.  Great price at that link they sell on other sites for at least $150.

My HV setup is as follows: 3 x MKS HBL950 on cyclic, 1 x MKS HBL980 on Tail, 1 x MKS HV9767 on throttle. All supplied at 8.4volts via Scott Gray Reactor HVX and TP2100-3SPP25 LiPo battery.

I wanted to reassure you that the torque tube edition uses the same transmission to spin the tail that you would find on N7. It's extremely robust and reliable. Both the belt and the TT model are great! Keep us informed buddy.  :)

I decided against buying the built up N5C machine.  I was getting some bad vibes from the seller.  Besides I really like the way the N7 fills the sky with helicopter.  I also like the direct to swash setup of the N7.  I will be ordering so that the heli and all the extra stuff I will need will be waiting for me when I return from my Snowbird stay in Arizona.  I saw a N7 fly at the Phoenix Funfly last weekend and was very impressed.
