stretching..what size main blades?
« on: July 22, 2014, 10:59:01 AM »
So I need to redo my setup of my E5, and I'm going to stretch it as well.  What size main blades can I put on?  I know I can use 606 (Rails of course).  Can I put on the 626s as well?

E5s stretch kit parts will swing 626 mains no issue. 606 works very well!

I am loving the 626's. Not sure which I am liking more though.  I also installed a Vbar at the same time :-)

Cheers

Same here, lovin' my 626/106 blades at around 2100.  Nothing is needed beyond the stock stretch kit.

Sames here, running 625 Radix V2 (bought before the Rails 626s came out) and 96s - love the feel.  I see Rob is running the 106 tails, never thought of that - might give it a try!

I have 606 rails coming with the e5s kit I ordered.  Can't wait to get it built and test flown.   My trex500pro dfc may gather some dust if this E5 is as good as everyone says.

Yep, I have the same Align 500DFC sitting on a shelve with a nice thick layer of dust on it...

Lol.  On the bright side you won't have to upgrade your 500.

I've been flying my E5 stretch for almost a year now. I am running 606 mains and 96 tails. I also installed the E7se tail gears and sped up the tail. At our altitude here in Denver I needed more tail authority. I primarily piro to the right and I have noticed that I am starting to stall the tail so I am going to go to 106 tails next. I love my stretch! It flies really good! I also do some slow mo flying with it which it also does really well. With the tail sped up it has a lot of tail authority in slow mo flying as well!

Here is the rest of the setup.
Scorpion 4035-560
12t pinion
4.9 tail ratio
Ikon FBL
Futaba BLS 451
Futaba BLS 251
Castle Edge 120HV
12s 3300
Thanks,

JM
