For those of you who haven't seen the thread on RR, here is a warning about leaving lipos unattended on the charger:

Here's the whole thread:

Another reason why I pretty much only charge at the field. If I'm at home, I'm working on something anyways, right next to it. Hope his insurance covers it.

Oh, and the reason he had a camera in his shed was because he had a turbine helicopter stolen out of that shed just a couple months ago.

Really scary, especially considering it was a relatively small 2S pack and he was discharging it to storage level on his charger at the time and not charging it at some high wattage.

I am with Grimmy. I am only charging at the field. Better that some grass than have to explain to my wife and kids why the house was on fire.

When I'm at home or away I keep my lipos in a barbecue grill for the peace of mind with me traveling alot. 😎

I have a metal 30mm grenade ammo container that I keep mine in. I'll admit that I haven't been as careful while charging as I need to be, though. No longer, though, after seeing that.

Amazing! I charge in the garage on my bench with 12x12 tiles on the top and a 5 gal bucket or water on the floor. But walking away, I have to admit I'm sometimes guilty too. Wow.. Better start working on a better fire containment system. You just never know.
Thanks for posting that
