Looks like my E5 will live again by the end of the weekend.  The only other E5 I have seen around here went up for sale.  I should be able to have it or rebuild my first one by the end of the weekend.  Either way I will have a good start on a second one for next summer.

It should.  Optimism is the only thing necessary to fly rc heli's.   An understanding wife helps.

I really like the heli and am not ready to give it up yet.  I have seen this air frame 2 feet off the ground doing some nice 3D.  I know it is up to my gentle flying by comparison.   Once I rebuild the first one I will try 6 cell on it and see then if I want to stay 12cell or make both 6 cell.

glad you are giving it another shot sooner than later. I believe it is the best flying heli out, stretched or not. good luck on your re-maiden.

Rebuild is done.  Just waiting on ec5's and a rx pack.  For some reason I can't attach photos though.

6 flights today before a migrane forced me in..  very responsive for a 12 cell 550 setup.  More flights tomorrow.  At least the winds are forecasted to be lighter tomorrow.   The E5 handled the high wind nicely today.

I definetly like the orqnge canopy I have over the stock for visability.  White just don't show that well in blue sky with some nice white clouds.    I was hoping to get out a bit today after the rain stopped and before beavers and cubs registration.   It just isn't going to happen though.  I need another 12 cell pack and another para board for my 308duo to increase the number of flighhts I can do.

I read over this thread and I have to say well done on getting your E5 back in the air so quickly, amazing what a bit of enthusiastic ingenuity will accomplish!

I feel your pain on charging batteries but that is the thing I love about my E5, only one 6S pack! My E7 flights are limited at a field with no power!

Glad your flying again!
