Kontronik Pyro 750 motor
« on: July 09, 2015, 02:41:12 PM »
I have just purchased a E7se kit and are planning to use a Kontronik Kosmik cool 160A esc. And I would like to use a Kontronik Pyro 750 motor. The manual for the kit is recommending a Scorpion Ultimate 520kV motor. Kontronik only offers 450kV, 500kV and 560kv. I am not a hardcore 3D pilot yet, more a sportflyer, so I think the 500kV is the most sensible motor for me, right?

What gear ratioes and blades should I use? I would prefer to use the supplied gear ratio in the kit, but if neccesary I will change that.

The Pyro 500kv will be fine. I used a 480 kv with the 12t pinion with good success. Head speed around 1850. Great for smooth flying and mild 3d. Try the Rail 716's. Even better try the 716 F3C blades.

Cheers

I ran the 750 competition in mine when I had it. Crazy power, make sure you run large tail blades! FYI I used the 560 because I bought it new second hand, worked good but I was running 2200 head speed most of the time.

If you have a choice take the 500 :)
