Last heli was an N5.

Looking at building an E5.

 Is the E5 being discontinued?

I started off e5 on 6s 556 , now it on 12s with 626 and its awsome

What servos would be good to use?

I am just a sport flyer and don't need to break the bank for servos.

Are TORQ servos good?

I have only used a Torq tail servo.  I believe that if you use Torq cyclic servos, you will need to add shims to them so the cases don't hit each other.

You might want to take a look at BK servos.

Torq servos are good, I have a set on my N7 that I've run in a couple air frames for 3 years. Been through multiple crashes and still going strong. All you need is 4 extra "servo hold-downs" to put behind the mount tabs on your left and right cyclics. http://mattbotos.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=0&products_id=1171

Same goes for MKS.

im running bk servo on cyclic there great and mks tail servo 7.4 volt, on my e5s and e7es.

Hey Danny, do all MKS servos needs the shims to work in the E5? I was looking at getting a set for mine? Good to know if I am going to need shims. (With regard to BK servos, I have them in my Goblin 570 and they are working just fine, no issues so far?) I know nothing about the torq servos however, never had any.

I don't know if there is a difference between the E5 & E7SE... But I have MKS 960 cyclics on my E7SE.. It didn't require shims.. That i know of.. Flys fine..

I would recommend buying the shims, all the MKS servos I've used have just barely touched at the center of the frame. Torq have very similar case dimensions to MKS.

Thank you very kindly..... Still undecided on servos, I can get a nice set of the MKS 960 - 990 on the promo for 527.00 and deal with possible spacing issues, possible servo horn screw interference ect ect, or I could get BK servos which are better specs according to the information listed and smaller, on promo for a set for about the same cost, and shouldn't  have spacing issues? I don't see that Futaba makes the servos that Matt listed in the manual any longer, not sure what the replacement for those are? Never seen a package deal on Futaba servo's either. Hmmmmm......
