Got my first Synergy a 766

Hi,

Got my first Synergy a 766.
Not new to Heli. Presently own Century Hawk Pro, Century Raven, Hirobo Freya, and Gaui.
Nitro and flybar.

This is going to be my first big electric and flybarless heli.

Special thanks to Jean Luc Bolduc and Stephane Giguere  for answering all my questions during the CCHS 2018 (Club CRASH heli spectacular) and hope this event will be back in 2020.

Started the build and the quality of this kit is #1.

Maiden my new Synergy 766 last weekend.

Very very nice flyer.

The Orange tail boom, brace and tail fin do improve the visibility in overcast weather.

i’ll say! 
what kind of paint did you use?
how did you get the color to match so well?

Sorry for the late response.

No paint was used.  Airplane Utracote Safety Orange Covering.

1- Roll one layer of covering on the tail tube, overlap 1/4 inch on bottom.
2- Run sealing iron to fuse the 1/4 inch overlap.
3- Shrink the covering with heat gun .

Same thing was done with tail boom and fin.

This will make a mirror like finish like paint and clear coat.
I used 1/8 inch black pin stripe tape to complete the look.

Sorry did go to your event this year, guest it got cancel too like all the fun fly in my area.
Do you plan to do it next year?

I took this pause to improved my cyclic servos to HV brushless so I removed the BEC-regulator and run 2 cells 2200 mah lipo directly to power the electronics.

I did replace the CGY 750 that decided to died on me, luckily during preflight check on the ground, with an IKON2.

If thing improve I will try to make to your field this fall.
