Swash bearing replacement

The swash in my n5c was seized up because I had not flown for a long time and the balls inside have rusted I think. I got it turning with some wd40 but it is not smooth and needs to be replaced. Can the bearing be replaced or do I need to get a new swash?

I suggest buying a new swash. The newest version is easily serviceable.
Getting the bearing replaced out of your old swash would require pressing them out. A bearing press would likely be required.
I've damaged a swash a time or two and always replaced them.
The new part number is 200-406.

+1 on Alan's response.

The older inner swash plate is formed to the inner race of the bearing and is very difficult to remove without the proper size swedging tool.

I also want to update to the current version head that is lowered with the swash drivers integrated into the head block. Can someone please confirm the parts numbers to do the conversion? I have the original belted version of the n5c and want to keep the belt drive but get the updated head. Thanks.

There may be an issue with that.  The Jesus bolt hole for the E5/N5CTT head is a little higher up the shaft than the N5.  See attached photo. In the ling run you may be better keeping the current head. Consider a N556. 

The original N5 is marginally supported and parts will be harder to find. Specifically the belt parts.  Parts that cross over to the N5C TT are still available. I am flying an N5 myself but only because I like nostalgia and have a stash of parts.. Hell I still fly an N9. 

If you are dead set on doing this you will need to trim down the main shaft.  Refer to the E5 or N5C Torque Tube manual for the parts needed for the head.  Matt also sells the whole head part number 200-412 ($165).

Mine is the n5c variant but before the tt version arrived. Does that make a difference? Otherwise I will just keep original head.

This is my favorite heli to fly so I won't be changing to another kit until I have to.

The N5C belted used the same main shaft as the N5. You might be able to drop in a n5cTT main shaft if you change out the lower shaft bearing. The TT shaft does not have the step down. Let me look at both shafts and see if that will work.

It does appear you can use N5C TT main shaft (610-410)

You will need:
320-411 Jesus Bolt Collar (at bottom bearing block)
100-320A Jesus Bolt
108-106 10x19x6 Radial Bearing (for lower bearing block)

Head parts:
305-206 Washout Arms
305-207 Ball Link Adapters
108-383 Radial Bearing for washout arms (4 packages of 2 needed)
106-301 M3 Shims (1 package)
100-272 M2.5x12 set screws (1 package)
100-323 M3x23 Socket Head Bolts (1 Package)
100-316 M3x15 Socket Head Bolts (1 package)
109-352 Brass Spacers ( 2 packages)
305-210 Head Block
305-204 Head Axle Pivot

You should be able to reuse the existing Blade Grips and pitch arms.  If you choose to replace these also then I would definitely buy the whole head unit instead.

The N5C Torque Tube Manual is of course your reference for the mod...

The swash plate I am able to source locally in Australia is the 516 swash (part 200-505).  Is this compatible with main shaft size and geometry etc for the N5c?

Also I can only find the following substitutions for part numbers you identified:
