766 14s or 12s

What is the advantage of running 14s over the 12s?   Does the 14s give more power and run time? IM running 12s xnova 4530 x 500kv could i run 14s on that motor? Thanks Cliff

All else being equal, 14S runs more efficiently than 12S.

Hi Cliff,

the xnova website lists the 4530-500 as being designed for 12S. Best check with them about suitability for running it on 14s.

Also changing to 14s will increase motor rpm, so you'd need to change to a smaller pinion to maintain similar to existing headspeed in the same heli.
