766 gasser transmission
« on: February 17, 2023, 01:19:06 PM »
Hello   Cliff here in naples fl, my 766 transmission melted the 766-601 gear on top of trans, I fig its the bearing above it . Had a grat flight coming to land and head speed slowed way down and loss tail,. So i hit throttle hold about 2 feet off the ground, grass cause it to tip , took out blades, tail boom and tail shaft. I have all the gears and bearing, have to find  tail boom and torque tube shaft. the top off the gear is melted. I have never seen this before. I thought maybe you seen this, and why it happen. Tried to attach a pic. Thanks Cliff
