Just a note.....Original style main gear, make sure you pay close attention to page 6 of the manual. The ribs on the original main gear will come very close to interference with the 12T spur gear if shimmed in the original manner.

That looks good with both shims on top. Page 6. Better clearance by the looks at least on mine anyway.

Tested the TT on the E6 and feels great. It does however seem tighter than it should be between the main gear and spur gear making autorotation hub tight. I think Matt mentioned this will loosen up but can anyone confirm this... I have the Delrin spacers both on top as per manual.

My TT arrived bent, because of UPS shipping package damage.  Does anyone know if the N9 torque tube will work, or any other substitute? 

Any help would be great, because I would love to fly the TT this weekend.

Guys,
Do not elongate frame holes. The spur gear spacing is the correct distance based on spur gear mount distance formula. If you modify the mount distance you are putting your gears at risk.

The reason your head is not spinning freely has nothing to do with gear mesh, the delrin shims could potentially be a few thousandths too thick depending on tolerances. Light sanding of one of the delrin shims will allow your auto hub to spin freely.

I tested my main gear, shaft and tail gear assembly without gear box installed. It did spin freely. Once the gear box was installed the main shaft did not spin freely. I elongated the mounting holes about 1/32 inch. The main shaft now spins freely. It did not take much.  Have you built one from this shipment. I did notice that the machining on the drive gear was not as nice as your main gears. Not as clean.

Hey Flyalan,

All of the systems that were installed at Bham were from this batch. Mine has been run for hundreds of flights so it is very well broken in....  I'm sure your adjustment will be fine, just have to make sure.

Hey Alan,

I am on my way back from SEFF and happen to have a TT kit in the back seat. The gears look identical to the ones I have on my helicopter. Are you talking about the 116T Main Helical Gear or the tail transmission gears?
