JR servos and E5 and N7
« on: February 26, 2014, 03:49:25 PM »
Hello,

For those using JR servos which arms did you use. It seems the included arms won't work with the small JR wheels without modification. Pictures would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John

I think many using the JR servos use Dubro long arms.  Here is a picture of them on Steve Graham's N7. (He posted this in the N7 electronic placement photo thread.)

My e7se currently has jr8917hvs on it with  DuBro Super Stength standard length arms. Work great. You will have to drill the hole in the horn out a bit to accommodate the servo ball.

Thanks for the clarification on that Chris.  I knew they were Dubro arms, but I didn't know they were standard length.

I am sure the Long versions will work too, just don't need the extra length.

I'm using the Dubro arms on my E5.  I have also used the round JR wheels, you just have to enlarge the big center hole on the carbon fiber arm.

I'm using Mikado arms for JR servos. They're stiff, but the spline will trip in a crash and protect the servo.
