Do you need to spray silicone on the Mikado belt?

I haven't. Don't see the need.

I also grounded the tail to the boom, and boom to the motor mount after seeing some glitches in my VBar logs. The log was pretty clean after that.

Do you think the Mikado belt is more of a static generator than the synergy belt?

Not sure. I didn't look at my logs very closely while I ran the stock belt to compare to my current logs. I'm sure a google search could turn up some info on the properties of the rubber and polyurethane belts though.

The E6/E7 is grounded by design. So you don't need to do it yourself.

I thought this as well, but after running additional grounding wires a lot of the glitches in my logs were gone. Perhaps it could be attributed to something else, but I'm only speaking from my findings.
