Who all started buying parts for theirs?

I paid closer to $75/ea.  I was going to buy the 272sv and 274sv combo but, holy crap, this stuff ads up quick!  I have some household repairs I need to take care of or my wife will probably beat me to death with one of my helicopters.

I may end up with the rjx servos too. I really want to try the 255 256 futaba combo but so hard to pay 170 per servo when the rjx have proven to be great servos at 90 each.

I have decided to give up on my savox servos. I think matt is right and poor centering is causing some of my fff issues.

Have you considered the Torq servos Alan? Specifically the 9180 / 9188.
Made by MKS and excellent specs. Rated for 8.4v. They have been excellent.

Outrage and MKS both are good but so close in price to the futaba bls hv line.

Trying to outfit a 5th big heli without having to sell one is expensive. But for the first time I can honestly say there are no birds in my fleet I would sell without regret lol.

Rjx have proven themselves. Rob uses them almost exclusively. If they can handle his flight style I am good!

I know what you mean Chris. I keep toying with selling the N5c to fully outfit the N7 but I just can't bring myself to do it. I would rather wait until spring when my bonus time is here with tax season for the N7 than sell off a good flying bird which I might just have to do.

I got really lucky, for once. I have a bunch of stock options that have been expiring worthless for the last several years and this year our stock has gone nuts!  I figured since it's up over 100% since the beginning of the year I might as well do something fun with it. I am doing some responsible things with it, too, but after seeing the video of Matt flying the N7 I knew I really had to have one.

Well I thought I was ordering 4x BLS255HV but they seem to be discontinued.

That stinks, those are he servos I use in my E5.  But like Chris said, it is hard paying that much for a servo when there are others performing well for less.  I just tried KST in a new Heli and they are the fastest servos I've tried so far, pretty sure it is similar to RJX.  Almost 50 flights and still great.  Anyone know what hey are replacing the BLS255 with?

I'm not sure what the direct replacement is but I think the BLS272 are going to be the go to servo. Can anyone advise whether you can use an S.Bus programmable servo as a normal servo without programming it?

Also I'm sure other shops will have the 255's for a while, or at least I hope because I just got my 3 for cyclic and I'd like another for the throttle.

You do not have to program sbus servos, they will just work like a normal servo.

Ah sweet thanks Rodney. Now I have to decide whether to keep the 255's I bought and source a 4th one or sell them while I can and buy others. Hmm decisions decisions.

I'm considering protek 250t's for my build as well. Just can't decide money is my issue! Or I would by futaba hv servos. Also considering rjx hv's or possible 451's/251 old reliables! But I have seen proteks in action and you get a wicked strong/fast servo for your buck! Let me know your thoughts.

Those futaba's are looking pretty strong!  BLS451/251's are very reliable... I'm about to assemble a N5c soon and its going HV, so I do have 451/251 that could go in the N7, so it's a toss up.  I have a friend at Amain that advised I try the protek's but the futaba's were a game changer for me personally.  So I may try the proteks eventually...but for now Futaba's are worth the money and I thank myself for going broke over them! LOL.
But I am interested in hearing what ppl have to say about those proteks.
